Javier M. Figueroa, MD, PhD

Dr. Figueroa is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery with extensive experience in both adult and pediatric neurosurgical care. Currently practicing at ACME Spine & Orthopedics, Dr. Figuero brings a wealth of expertise from leading medical institutions across the country.

Prior to joining ACME, Dr. Figueroa served at Texas Spine Concierge in Houston, Texas and completed a prestigious fellowship in neurosurgical spine surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. His dedication to advancing neurosurgical care extends to his specialized training in pediatric neurosurgery at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and trauma neurosurgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Figueroa has a strong background in research, having held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Moores Cancer Center, University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Figueroa’s career began with service as an officer in the United States Air Force, where he contributed as a research scientist in bioterrorism counter-proliferation and worked as a satellite engineer. With an impressive academic background, including an MD/PhD from the University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Figueroa remains committed to innovation, patient-centered care, and excellence in neurosurgical treatment.
